Host defense peptides combinedwith MTA extract increasethe repair in dental pulp cells:in vitro and ex vivo study
RESUMO:
MTA induced high cellular migration rates in 48 h (p < 0.05). Furthermore, the combination of IDR1018 and MTA also induced high expression levels of DSPP, ALP activity, and the production of calcification nodules. So, IDR-1018 and its combination with MTA could assist in pulp-dentine complex repair process in vitro.

High-plasticity mineral trioxide aggregate and its effects on M1 and M2 macrophage viability and adherence, phagocyte activity, production of reactive oxygen species, and cytokines
RESUMO:
M1 and M2 macrophages presented different viability in response to MTA and MTA-HP at different time points. Introducing a plasticizer into the MTA vehicle did not interfere with the activity of M1 and M2 macrophages. BIOCOMPATIBILITY

Management of Internal Resorption WithImmature Open Apex Using Mineral trioxide aggregate and Bioceramic based root canal sealer – A Case Report
RESUMO:
This case report presents successful management of a case with an internal resorption, at the cervical third of the root in the right permanent central incisor which is associated with immature apex using MTA followed by obturation with biorootrcs sealer.

Addition of phosphates and chlorhexidine to resin-modifiedMTA materials
RESUMO:
The addition of phosphates and chlorhexidine to resinmodified
MTA was performed to synthesize a novel type of
endodontic sealer for root-end filling procedure. This study
showed that MTA resin-modified root-end fillings without
chlorhexidine digluconate are promising materials for endodontic
treatments, since these experimental sealers presented
effective physico-chemical and biological properties.

The effects of sodium hypochlorite and ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid on the microhardness of Mineral Trioxide Aggregate and Total Fill Bioceramic Putty
RESUMO:
MTAA had a higher baseline microhardness than BCP. NaOCl reduced the microhardness of MTAA but increased that of BCP. EDTA reduced the microhardness for both materials at 24 h. At 8 days, EDTA reduced the microhardness of MTAA, while BCP exhibited an increase in microhardness. Enabling these materials to set for a week prior to exposure to irrigants improves their microhardness.

Impact of Mechanical Load of Three Post and Core Systems:CAD/CAM-fabricated Glassfiber, Prefabricated Glassfiber Customized with Composite Resin, and Cast Metal Postsand Cores
RESUMO:
The fracture resistance of CAD/CAM-fabricated glassfiber posts and cores was comparable to that of cast posts and cores, and they
were not associated with irreparable root fractures. Therefore, CAD/CAM-fabricated glassfiber posts and cores can be considered an effective method for restoring endodontically treated teeth.
