Canal Drying Protocols to Use with Calcium Silicate–based Sealer: Effect on Bond Strength and Adhesive Interface
ABSTRACT:
Based on the outcomes of this study, the best drying protocol for AHP is using the White Mac tip in the orifices of root canals for 5 seconds followed by a size 0.48-mm capillary aspiration in the apical third with a gentle up-and-down motion for 5 seconds and paper points until complete dryness. For BCS, the White Mac tip followed by capillary aspiration without paper points should be used.

Hydraulic calcium silicate-based root canal sealers mitigate proinflammatory cytokine synthesis and promote osteogenesis in vitro
ABSTRACT:
In conclusion, the three HCSB sealers, BioC, WST, and BC exhibited high biocompatibility with Kusa-A1 cells and promoted their osteoblastic differentiation/mineralization probably by the release of Ca2þ. Moreover, BioC, WST, and BC reduced the synthesis of proinflammatory cytokines IL- 1a, IL-1b, IL-6, and TNF-a from LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 cells. These properties are considered beneficial for the healing of periapical lesions accompanied by new alveolar bone formation and apical closure with newlyformed
mineralized tissue(s).

Effect of Ultrasonic Activation on Dentinal Tubule Penetration of Bio-CTemp and Ultracal XS: A Comparative CLSM Assessment
ABSTRACT:
UA increases tubular penetration (both depth and area) of Bio-C Temp at the apical third but has no significant effect on Ultracal XS. Bio-C Temp has a greater depth and tubular penetration area than Ultracal XS after UA.

Influence of bioceramic intracanalmedication on the bond strength ofbioceramic root canal sealer
ABSTRACT:
The conclusion reached by the present study was that intracanal medication based on bioceramic compounds chemically interacted with the bioceramicbased root canal sealer to form a biomineralizing layer, which allowed for an increase in the bond strength and formation of an adhesive interface between the materials, with no or less gap formation.
