The recommended materials are addition-cure and condensation silicones.
The model must be cast first, alongside the preparations. Wait for the plaster to set and, soon afterward, the opposite side is cast.

Partial molding trays are more comfortable for the patient, because they do not leave molding material in contact with the soft palate.
